I am a registered member of the BACP which stands for British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I have a level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling which includes being trained in Cognitive behavioural therapy, Person Centred and Psychodynamic counselling.
I do not claim to be an expert on OCD I just claim to be a qualified therapist who has overcome their own OCD using a specific approach, which happens to be very similar to how leading clinicians treat clients in this field. I've used my approach to effectively treat clients who have come to me with OCD
I am available for face to face counselling, skype or even a home visit. The practice I use is based in a large community center and has free parking and disabled access.
I refuse to charge over the odds prices for my services. I will charge £40 per fifty minute session. I want counselling for OCD to be available to more people than just those who have the money to fork out £100 for a single session. I think it's immoral to charge such a high price. Of course you can down the NHS route. This is free of course but the waiting lists can be extremely long and you're not guaranteed to see someone at the end of it who understands or is that experienced with OCD. Maybe you will get lucky
